• 1: Neptune - Saturn Opposition (critical, envious, secret acting against others, makes many people feel hopelessly vulnerable to what others or nature decides to do to them, can lead to finacial problems too, and a tendency to become rather distrustful towards others or fortune in general) - total duration until 9. October.
• 2: Uranus - Jupiter Trine (outgoing times for socializing, but not to get to intimate with specifics. Time to get around, travel, learn something new, maybe even to speculate a bit) - total duration until 23. September.
• 3: Saturn - Jupiter Square (Negating the above positive aspect completely, misfurtune through false calculations or speculations or bad timing. Very average overall quality of time that has a rather boring touch to it, yet there always seems to be something that keeps things tense, disturbing events will happen) - total duration until 29. November.

The Degree positions involved for these 4 planets building active aspects during all of August are:

• For Neptune = 18° Aquarius (very dogmatic times indeed, with little understanding for anything that differs from own ways and opions. Everyone should be like yourself, a particular religion, political direction, intellectual or social level).
• For Uranus = 14° Pisces (an aggressive outer attitude, but inside rather sensitive and peaceloving, trying to fight anyone who atempts to opress others), second half of month 13° Pisces (discrete hard working times, no matter how unimportant the job, it will get done in a responsible fashion).
• For Saturn = 15° Leo, second week of August (the everlasting student time, undecided, waiting for someone else to come up with decisions. 16° Leo third week of August (a rather fortunate week in that people will find what they are looking for, a hint of tolerance towards others comes through, patience and endurance too. 17° Leo, forth week of August (good time to finally learn a few new things). 18° Leo, final days of August, first days of September (well timed energy, brave and adventurous).
• For Jupiter = 11° Scorpio, second and third week of August (slick, intelligent, deep thinking and percieving, collective awareness, sensual). 12° Scorpio, third week of August (very self assure, convincing times, maybe a tad to much though). 13° Scorpio, final week of August (refreshing original and convincing week, the unusual versus the dogmatic so to speak this week).

These are the long term active aspects through August 2006, they set the trend.
There are a good number of additional aspects happening during this as well as any other month, but since these usually just last for a few days at the time they are of much less significant impact then the long lasting aspects, short term aspects can only intensify the long term trends to some extend and focusing on those as well would just make the entire report to long and confusing overall.

The overall summary for August is not a good one. Expectations on the global scene, politically as well as financially should be muted, remember, it’s the year of the Dog, so go ahead and drool, enjoy the few nice surprises, things are not soooooooooooo bad, just not good either.
